During our recent trip back to the UK from Portugal, we made a stop at El Sosiego, and it turned out to be a clever choice given its proximity to the road. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed and shown to our spacious, clean room-definitely a relief after a long drive. The hotel offers a restaurant where we enjoyed a decent 3-course meal in the evening, followed by breakfast that hit the spot. What stood out to me was the attention to detail in housekeeping and a solid, reliable Wi-Fi connection, which is a must for any archaeologist longing to catch up on research! while the amenities like the seasonal outdoor pool and the garden area would surely shine in warmer weather, the value proposition remains in its balance between comfort and cost-efficiency. For anyone looking to indulge without breaking the bank, El Sosiego could be just the right spot, especially for a brief stay.
